"BELIEVE IN YOUR FUTURE MORE THAN YOUR PAST" --Joe Dispenza

I highly recommend Joe's interviews and published work.

Who are you when you get a glimpse of your future self?

Sometimes, in a split second, I imagine myself feeling overly satisfied in life while driving alone along a scenic road at sun set (like the edge of a forest by a cliff that overlooks the water in those "daring" car commercials).

Sometimes it's laughing with family around and hearing the oven timer going off. Sometimes it's cheer-sing drinks at dinner in celebration.

It's good to take inventory of where you are in life and continue to think thoughts of an improved version of yourself. It could be seeing yourself making more connections, being more genuine, learning to overcome a negative habit, or stepping forward and living in the way you have always dreamed to and never started.

The brain is not easily capable of feeling thoughts about the past AND feeling thoughts of the future at the same time. Therefore, when you catch yourself falling into the thoughts or emotions of the past, visualize your future self.

These repetitive thoughts will, overtime, become a part of your subconscious. This means eventually, you wouldn't need to consciously stop yourself from correcting your thoughts.

Identify a limiting belief --> consciously replace and challenge it with your truth --> subconscious accepts the correction with repetition + time --> subconscious changes --> actions align with desired future self.

You are not a tree. You are not rooted and stuck. You can get up and move your home, talk to new people, join a new community, and form new habits. You could borrow money and disappear to Italy forever to become a nomad. You could start a Youtube channel and work hard for 8 years making no money off of it and then finally reach a threshold overnight. You could take out a loan and start your dream business. No one would do it better than you. Break down the mental barrier you have between yourself and the people you want to be like. They are you but with different choices. Make today the best "yesterday" you've ever had. Instead of thinking the same thoughts as yesterday or the past year, put that on hold. Try something different today. Water areas of your life you normally wouldn't. Free your mind.
